After working for BBC Sport for over a decade, I decided to take a career break, jump into the big wide world and follow my passions in health and fitness.
I was first introduced to Nordic Walking as a way of keeping active during a running injury and I still regularly swap a long run for Nordic Walking as part of my training to reduce injury risk. I love Nordic walking because it combines my love of keeping fit and being outside, whilst allowing me to chat away, discover new places and share my enthusiasm for being active with others.
I am a Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation specialist and want to help people affected by cancer to stay active in a supportive group environment.
Away from Nordic Walking, I am a qualified triathlon coach and personal trainer. I love racing triathlons, and co-host the popular Oxygen Addict Triathlon podcast. When I have time to relax, I really enjoy baking and I have raised over £25,000 for charity through my “Fuelled by Cake” recipe books.
